How to Build Retrieving Confidence

How It Began
My name is Bob Miller and I am a Social Worker in Saginaw, Michigan. I became involved in the sport of Upland Hunting over 14 years ago and have been a life long outdoorsman. I’ve been an avid upland hunter and dog handler since 2007 when I met Scott Brosier. Scott mentored me with the shaping of my first dedicated bird dog and we developed a great friendship. Soon I found myself with multiple dogs and a steady schedule of chasing grouse in northern Michigan. This was all well before Scott became owner of Pine Hill.
My Dog
My current dog is Panzer, a Deutsch Drahthaar, out of vom Brosius. Upland hunting and guiding at Pine Hill allows me to enjoy time in the outdoors with my true best fiend; my dog(s). It provides a great setting to meet new people, network and share my passion for quality dog work in the field.
Why I Guide
I started guiding with Scott at Pine Hill in 2011. I find success witnessing quality dog work and a great smile from a friend or client filling their game bags. I prefer to use a pointing beeper locator with my dogs as it allows me to signal his location as well clients can locate and experience the point with less direct involvement from me. I don’t participate in the shooting as much anymore and instead prefer to do more guided hunts or invites with friends.
